Kendall 'Shorty' Ward is an American stand-up comedian known for his quick-witted, improvisational style and high-energy performances that appeal to diverse audiences. Born in Raritan, New Jersey, and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, Ward attributes his charismatic demeanor and broad comedic appeal to his varied life experiences and interactions with different people.

Ward began his professional comedy career after being discovered by comedian Bill Bellamy in 1997 at a New Jersey venue, and he has since built a career spanning more than two decades with performances across the United States, Canada, and Bermuda. He has headlined at major comedy clubs including Caroline's on Broadway, the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles and New York, the Miami Improv, and the FunnyBone, while sharing stages with comedians such as Mike Epps, Michael Blackson, and J. Anthony Brown.

His television credits include appearances and writing on BET programs such as "Busted" (a 2008 pilot he co-wrote and starred in), "Comic View," and "Notarized," along with a contestant spot on NBC's "Last Comic Standing." Beyond stand-up, Ward has acting credits, including a role in the 1999 film "Duck! The Carbine High Massacre," and has contributed as a writer to the 2017 television series "Hart of the City." He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Seton Hall University and has trained in acting and stand-up comedy in New York and elsewhere.
